“Zweilight” is of course the original; Twilight” is what happens when someone like me tries to redo it into the 21st century. Why bother? Because something at this concert, a modern image caught my eye and I rewrote the German so it would fit the metre rhythm of the music in English. I realized it was about a stalker. Note for note (voice and piano) the same, just a different approach. If we are to gain some headway with the youth of today, let’s make it something they can relate to.
